Author Information

Lynn Wilson

Lynn Wilson was a well-respected faculty member at George Brown College. She has also previously taught in primary classrooms, including in a full-day kindergarten program in a child-care environment. She has visited childcare centres throughout western Canada as a director of a Child Care Initiatives Fund project for Health and Welfare Canada on extended-hour childcare. In cooperation with Ryerson University's School of Early Childhood Education, she delivered training workshops with colleagues to front-line teachers in Bosnia during the summers of 1999 and 2000. Wilson was the Technical advisor on a five-year partnership project in Early Childhood Education in Jamaica with the Association of Community Colleges—her work there continues with additional funding received in 2008. In 2006, Wilson won a National Teaching Excellence Award from the Association of Canadian Community Colleges.
