Wendi Roscoe

Dr. Wendi Roscoe, Ph.D., is a faculty member in the Department of Health Sciences at Fanshawe College in London, ON. Wendi has an H.B.Sc. (Genetics), a M.Sc. (Physiology), a B.Ed., and a Ph.D. (Physiology and Pharmacology) from the University of Western Ontario, London, ON. Her Ph.D. research was focused on neuroinflammation in a mouse model of Multiple Sclerosis. She has published in several peer-reviewed journals such as, Journal of Neuroimmunology and Journal of Neuroscience Research. Wendi has been teaching Physiology, Biology, and Nutrition courses at the university and college level since 2004 and is currently teaching Pre-Health Biology and Nutrition at Fanshawe College. Wendi has an excellent understanding of student challenges and needs within this course. She is also a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, graduating from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in 2017. Wendi has been very proactive in surveying other pre-health courses and biology programs at colleges and universities across Ontario, and has recently spent 9 months at Griffith University on Australia's Gold Coast researching active learning and flipped classroom teaching methods in higher education healthcare programs to ensure Roscoe, Human Biology, Anatomy & Physiology is a good fit for the Canadian curriculum.
