Author Information

Jack Weiner

Jack Weiner is Mathematics and Statistics Professor emeritus (retired 2011) at the University of Guelph. He is the recipient many teaching awards, including the Ontario Council of University Faculty Associations (OCUFA) Teaching Award (1993) and the University of Guelph John Bell Award for outstanding contributions to university education. Jack feels particularly honoured to have been a recipient of the University of Guelph Central Student Association Teaching Award. He was listed as a "Popular Professor" in MacLean's annual Canada wide University report eight years out of the nine the survey was conducted.

Gord Clement

Gord Clement completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in mathematics at the University of Guelph. His master's thesis emphasized mathematics education. Programming in Maple, Gord has produced explorations for calculus that have been used by teachers and professors around the globe. He is currently teaching at Westside Secondary School in Orangeville.
