Barbara Sheppard was the former director of McGill University's Centre for English and French Language.

Hélène Poulin-Mignault

Professor Poulin-Mignault is currently the Associate Director of the Arts Multimedia Language Facility of the Faculty of Arts at McGill University. She teaches introductory and advanced level FSL and a course on Quebec history and culture at the English and French Language Centre of the Faculty of Arts. Her research interests include phonetics, discourse analysis for the teaching of grammar and CALL. In addition to writing Vouloir...c'est pouvoir, Professor Poulin-Mignault is the author of Le français au Québec, 3e ed., and principal author of Grammaire française plus, 3e ed.

Cécile Fay-Baulu

Professor Cecile Fay-Baulu is retired from the English and French Language Centre of the Faculty of Arts at McGill University where she taught French as a second language at the beginner and advanced levels until September 2004. Professor Fay-Baulu also devoted time to researching discourse analysis for the teaching of grammar. In addition to writing Vouloir...c'est pouvoir, she is the author of Comprendre des énonces simples, 3e ed., Variations phonétiques et grammaticales en français parlé, 3e ed., and a co-author of Grammaire française plus, 3rd ed.
